Features of Business MasterCard Credit Card

  • $100,000 Common Carrier Travel Accident Insurance
  • Global acceptance at 24 million location worldwide
  • Emergency Cards & emergency cash with on phone call
  • Lost & stolen card assistance, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • MasterCared Road Assist – 24 hour roadside assistance at preset rates.

The Business MasterCard credit card allows you to choose between 2 different payment methods.

Consolidated Pay Features

  • One main account is created for the business (called a control account) and
an account is created for each employee within the business (called a sub account).
  • The business receives a consolidated statement and each employee on the account receives a courtesy statement for information purposes only. One payment is remitted by the business and paid to the control account.
  • The credit limit on each sub account acts as a monthly spending limit that cannot be
exceeded during a statement period, even if a payment is made during that period.
  • Purchases made throughout the day are transferred to the business' control account every night. For an accurate balance, employees should consult the balance on the control account.  An example of a type of business that would value this payment option is an incorporated business with many employees. This type of business would appreciate the ease of making one payment on the account and the control of monthly spending limits.

Individual Pay Features
An example of a type of business that would value this payment option is a partnership with two or more partners, because it would allow them to keep their finances separate.

  • An account is created for each employee within the business account (called an
    individual account).
  • Employees receive a separate statement with an amount due and there is no summary
statement created for the business. Payments must be remitted for each individual account.
  • The credit limit is not set up as a monthly spending limit. Payments free up the credit
limit as soon as they are posted to the account.
  • For an accurate balance, employees should consult the balance on their individual
    accounts.
